    Mighty Boosh in Peterborough

    Well, it had to happen.  Tonight I went to see The Mighty Boosh do their thing in Peterborough.  They did a cracking job, as you might expect - smashing.  And whilst a little bit naughtier than the TV version, not tremendously, which was nice.  Second row as well.  Good for photographs (well, everyone seemed to be taking them, so why not me as well, eh?).
     
    Went with my Peter from church (cheeky 17 year old fella), and sat with Andy & Jenny King and Darren and Lorraine.  For some reason, at the end they all went home, leaving me & Peter to do the "lurking behind the the theatre in the hope of meeting some of the cast" trick.  And would you believe... it actually worked.  We met pretty much everyone except the fella who plays Bollo.  And they were all dead nice, and made plenty of time for us hassling fans.  Anyway - check the photos.  Yup, that's me & Vince (or Noel or whatever).  I was strangely un-star-struck, but Pete was quite excitable.  How old am I, eh?  Duufff.

    Yay! Good to hear from you Mr James! And good to hear your a Boosh fan too - yay! If you do have time to hang around afterwards, I would highly recommend trying to meet the cast - they're dead nice. I think we only had to wait about 30 minutes after the performance or something and they came out to sign stuff and do photos etc. Initially there were some quite big queues, but don't worry about those - just get in one. We were right at the back of the queue to see Noel (Vince), and in the end it meant we got a bit longer to talk to him, 'cos everyone else had left. He didn't quit until everyone had seen him - nice fella. If you can, it might be worth going a little bit early and trying to identify likely back doors etc. They've got a big tour bus (black I think) and a couple of trailers for props etc., so if you find those, that might be a hint as to where they'll emerge from. Somewhere there's very likely to be a crowd of hopeful fans, so if all else fails you just need to find that crowd. And if that doesn't work out, you might just want to go and pick a nearby pub, order your lemonade and crisps and sit around on the off chance the cast take a fancy to the same pub as you do.

    Philip Sir! Me and some mates are going to see The Mighty Boosh in Blackburn next month, really looking forward to it. I reckon we might try to meet the stars like what you did, seems like a good idea. Nice name for the blog by the way :D I've got one fo those things but it doesn't seem to work at the moment, must have a chat with the fella who hosts it.
